Microsoft ceases development of Virtual PC

You have to hand it to the people of Connectix who must have sold out at the top. They could see the end coming.

They had worked with Microsoft (bundling OSs etc.) for a couple of years before that, MS needed a virtual machine solution (the PC version of VirtualPC) and MS probably paid a good price. I don't really think Connectix knew Apple would go intel anymore than anyone else outside of intel/Apple did.

But I guess it's all for the better. :) ... Parallels has a really good product going, VMware will come to the Mac soon, we've got the CrossOver beta - and yeah, BootCamp as well, although I think BootCamp is a little overhyped for what it really is (a partitioner and hardware drivers).
