Ten dollars is ridiculous, literally an insult. It'd be less insulting for them to stand firm, refusing to pay, than to offer him $10.

Maybe I should rush out and register MyCrowSoft.com ...

Just thought I'd point this out. Definitely interesting. Don't know if they have legal grounds to do it. If they take him to court, do you think he could get off because it's a form of parody?

EDIT P.S. $10?
By shooting off his mouth like that the kid made it seem he intended to sell the domain or was engaging in blackmail. It was a really stupid thing to do. He should have said what he's wrote elsewhere, or at least something more non-suggestive/non-agressive.

I've invested time and money into my business which has no link to yours what-so-ever. If you were willing to cover the expenses I've incurred for the domain and related marketing materials, then I would entertain releasing the domain to you.

I doubt it would be wise to call this a parody, since he's using the domain for a business purpose. The only reason in the business world to parody something is for profit and that will only make a judge see M$'s side of the arguement.

There's another thread in the News forum on this BTW.
