I have a 24" iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 ghz that has 2 identities on it. I want to migrate the second identity off onto a 400 mhz PowerPC G4. I connect the firewire to the iMac and the G4. I started the G4 and then started the iMac holding down the T key. I then started the migration application. However is stops when it says it's waiting for the hd to appear. It appears on the G4 properly and I can open it but the migration application won't go to the next step. How can I get it to recognize it?

When I googled this information your website came up and ticket #337357 dated 5/10/08 tech - earthsaver addressed this same question. However, the information I saw did not go beyond connecting the fireware cables. My problem seems to be a different issue.

Thanks for your help

I'm not sure if you can do this. The data in Leopard is more "advanced" than the data in Tiger, so downgrading is a completely different process from upgrading. You can, however, copy the necessary folders and back them up to Tiger.
