Hi guys,

just wanted to share this one with you.
Okay, so I was looking for some app that would help me with my fonts under OS X. Comes along an app by the name of "FontChecker". Fair enough, so I downloaded it start it up and... Geeeezzz.
Hey, these guys must be Scandinavophils. Well, anyway, they seem to like Sweden and, well, mooses. So what gives ? For some unfathomable reason they decide to make their compamy's name sound Swedish. So _moose_ gets a plural in -n and an umlaut: _Moösen_. That's not enough, it becomes _Wünder Moösen_. What's so funny about it ? Well, my native tongue is German and in German the above translates into "Wonder pussies/sluts".

Isn't that "wünderful" ?

PS: Sorry, for the profanity, but then, I didn't make up the name...

Es heißt ja auch Moösen nicht Mösen. Aber ich will ja kein Spielverderber sein, also...

Also ich finde es ziemlich lustig. Na ja, ist eher Situationskomik. Es ist halt spaßig zu sehen wie Amerikaner versuchen "exotisch" zu sein und es dann schief geht. Wir hier haben uns jedenfalls köstlich amüsiert. Gebe aber zu, dass es gepostet nur halb so witzig ist. Stell' Dir vor Du probierst die Software aus und liest unvermittelt "Wünder Moösen". Ich meine, das lustige ist, dass die Leute versuchen "ausländisch" zu klingen und es mächtig schief geht. Ich mag solche sprachlichen Sachen. Nun gut, ist etwas albern, aber warum nicht ?

Was ich jemals in einem Programm erlebt hab war eine Fehlermeldung beim Start von "FinalCut Pro 2" !!! Habs geöffnet und dann kam eine Meldung ähnlich der "Programm wurde unerwartet beendet" - Meldung. Da stand:

"VectorGraphic Sim could not be initializedfuck"

Aber auch nicht soooo witzig wenn mans schreibt.


PS.: Ich will den neuen G4 1GHZ!!! LOL:p :)
