Modding games in OS X....Radiant?

I am desperate, one of my teachers claims you cant mod games for mac, i dont think this is true, are there any ways to mod games out there? I found Radiant for Quake3 but i dont know if it was released for OS X and how to get it if it is, plus i dont know that much about it either, lol

I believe Jedi Knight II came with an SDK for Mac users to use for modding. I think a Mac SDK for Elite Force was released as well.
