Modem Connection - command line

Hello, is there anyway I can kill -9 my modem connection from the command line?

I tried ps -aux but I'm not able to recognize anything that looks like my PPP conection.

Occasionally my connection freaks out, and the "modem disconecting" message scrolls endlessly, and the modem is unuseable until I reboot. Even if I unplug the USB modem it doesn't give up.

Kinda strange. Seems to only happen randomly.

Anyway, let me know if there is a way I can shotgun that process directly.

Thanks,

Harvey

That didn't help actually, though I didn't know about that utility so anyway I learned something!

I couldn't identify a process that seemed to be responsible for the modem...
