I've looked for an answer to this for some time and have received no useful information.
The following pertains to a dial up modem.
When using a working "modem on hold" set up, OS 10.4.x responds to an incoming phone voice call while connected to the internet with an audible beep and a screen showing information about the caller (as well as options for action).
To simplify my question: Can you tell me where to access the trigger for the audible alert (beep), such that I might use it to, for example, initiate an AppleScript of my own construction?
