Money For a New Machine ... iMac ... PowerMac ... or even a Cube?!?

OK, i love the cube, and have been scoruing places looking for one, seen a couple around, but i am kinda confused, as to whether it'd really be worth it? ...

Here's one ... http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2...p=F&siteID=iSmv7Bm4frc-506Xnbwzpo3dhUvw2hy3kA

Specs are pretty crappy, but obviously things could be swapped and such ... i have about £1800 to get a new machine, including display ... and was looking @ either a 17" Studio Display and some form of PM ... or
1Ghz iMac, 256, 80Gb, SuperDrive 17" ... For about £1450 which gives me money for RAM Upgrades ...

What do u guys think ?! ...

I think I'd go with a cube. They're just awesome. However, iMacs are awesome too, and I love mine. You should try both out and see which you like more.

I guess that means you didn't order the PM, huh? :p

:D

Personally I'd kill for a Cube... but in comparison I think you'd be better off with a new iMac or PowerMac...

For me, the Cube would only mostly be a FileServer and Music Juke Box. :D

Really, i think out of the two ...

the specs are simular, is it really worth another £400 for that PowerMac?!

Sogni ... Apple's Financing let me down ... apparently they dont like "1st time loaners" ... and "i have no credit rating" ... how am i supposed 2 when i am JUST 18? ... gotta start somewhere ...

Anyhow, i decided on an iMac ... so arranged £1800 from my bank ... they would let me have up2 £5800 *ironic, huh?* ...

But now, i know i shall have the money, i am stuck in two minds once more!
