More Keyboard Power! Equivalent to Zoom Box and More

Hi,

Anyone know:

1. a way to add keyboard access to the menus - e.g. pressing Alt-F for File, and so on on (very much like Windows - and I knew of pre-OSX apps that modified the UI this way).

2. And just as necessary, do you know of any little hack/app to add a keystroke equivalent to the window-zoom btn (the green button).

Thx -

1. Who needs third party apps? This featuer is built-in! Go to the System Preferences, and click on "Keyboard" and then click the tab for "Full Keyboard Access." Customize like crazy. Have fun.

2. Not that I know of. Dang.

Thanks for the reply - that is indeed the case, but I find the options offered there a bit limited - for instance:

1. it would be nice not to have to cycle through all the menus (or menu items) with the arrow keys to get to the one you want - Windows offers a nice solution to this with Alt-X where X is a letter of the menu (or menu item) - though the logic of which letter is chosen sucks in Windows. And there were utils which did this in the pre-OSX days for the Mac.

2. The Keyboard Sys. Preference solution does not seem to work on all apps - it doesn't work on Explorer... and not even in the Finder!

And it would really be nice to find a solution to the zoom box issue as that is quickly becoming a thorn in my side.
