more memory for photoshop

photoshop seems to be running a little slow - it shouldnt really, Ive got a new G5.

Is there a way of allocating more memory to photoshop to improve its performance and cut down on waiting times?

What's the processor set to? If it's set on 'Automatic', that may be your issue or part of it. Try setting to 'Highest' and see if that helps. (( Processor Performance Menu located in: System Preferences > Energy Saver [Options Tab] ))
