lol ---
depends --- truth is hurtful at times, or bittersweet so people might not want to hear it because they have been conditioned to like teh sugarysweet fake truth.
Personally I try to be truthful to all, its teh best policy, that way you know who your true friends are
Although I am only 16, I tell people what I think. I don't change my thoughts in anyway, or sugar coat it for anyone. If it hurts them too bad, but most of the time it makes them feel better
to JohnnyV - i pass onto you my high school description:
tactfull as a tank and subtle as a sledge hammer
that approach is all very well until you reach that day when you discover that you too have feelings and what it is like to have them hurt. please do not try to change before that day comes. experience is the best teacher in this case.
sugarcoating and being diplomatic & tactful are different things. and perhaps one day you will learn that there are reasons to be tactful that have nothing to do with yourself. note -It is not unusual for men to be in their mid-20s before they realize they are not the only ones in the world
Truth is drive progress, and lies (I can't think of a nicer word) are what keep people happy. You need a proper balance so that people can both be happy and progress.
