boy, am i glad i was almost done with my second cup of coffee before i read this one. :p

deep herve. very deep.

thinking first, then acting. definitly a grown up concept.

Heh, that IS interesting. The people of the world need to say what they thinks more often, if you ask me.

Thanks Herve! You're starting to make sense!

lol ---
depends --- truth is hurtful at times, or bittersweet so people might not want to hear it because they have been conditioned to like teh sugarysweet fake truth.

Personally I try to be truthful to all, its teh best policy, that way you know who your true friends are :)

Although I am only 16, I tell people what I think. I don't change my thoughts in anyway, or sugar coat it for anyone. If it hurts them too bad, but most of the time it makes them feel better:D

to JohnnyV - i pass onto you my high school description:

tactfull as a tank and subtle as a sledge hammer

that approach is all very well until you reach that day when you discover that you too have feelings and what it is like to have them hurt. please do not try to change before that day comes. experience is the best teacher in this case.:)

Heck -- never change!
My feelings have been battered by others -- scroo the sugarcoated reality :p

The only time you should sugar coat things is when you need to be diplomatic in order to advance your standing (in whatever situation) --

This tactic has served me well ;-)

Admiral

sugarcoating and being diplomatic & tactful are different things. and perhaps one day you will learn that there are reasons to be tactful that have nothing to do with yourself. note -It is not unusual for men to be in their mid-20s before they realize they are not the only ones in the world;)

On teh contrary my dear doctor ;)
Sugracoating is part of being diplomatic...it's amethod I use anyway lol;-)

Truth is drive progress, and lies (I can't think of a nicer word) are what keep people happy. You need a proper balance so that people can both be happy and progress.;)

To all of you who have lofty goals and high aspirations...I suggest you learn tact and diplomacy...

You'll have use them every day on your way to the top...
