More Sonnet problems

I purchased a Sonnet Encore ST 1ghz upgrade a couple of months ago, I changed over the chip and booted it up, the machine sounded fine but their was no signal going to my monitor or 'apple noise', I contacted Sonnet that they recommended I upgraded my fireware, which I tried and it was already upto date, I sent the chip back to Sonnet and received a new one back from them today, problem is that it is doing exactly the same thing.

I have got an Ati Radeon 9000 Pro, do you think that this could be the reason why it's not displaying any picture? or could I need some heatsink compound? :(
 
I have just changed the chip back to the old G4 400 but it the machine now locks up when I get into Panther, sounds like a heatsink Compound/Kernel Panic??

Please help :(
 
I have been having problems with a Sonnet porcessor I bought so I thought I'd flush the PRAM, I pulled out the battery on the motherboard and now even my original processor won't work, it gets into OS and crashes.

Please help as I'm having a nightmare, should I just reinstall OS 10.3 from scratch? :mad:
 
I have installed OS9, upgraded the firmware to 4.2.8 and the processor works fine in Panther so tonight I'm going to remove OS 9 :)
