Mouse on ibook help!!!

A quick question.
When you say the mouse doesn't work... do you mean the trackpad itself doesn't work? Does the trackpad button work?
Are you in OSX? If you start up in OS9 will it work?
If it works in one OS and not the other, then it could be a software issue.
Otherwise, it sounds like a hardware issue.
In which case, take your machine in for service.

Take your machine in for repair.
If your mouse trackpad doesn't work in 9 or X then it's hardware. Have a pro look at it and give you the skinny.
My guess is that there is a loose connection that was brought on by the travel... but this could be a number of things.
Try the external mouse if you want. You have a USB port, so when you take your machine in for service, ask one of the guys behind the counter if you can plug in a USB mouse to see if it works.
The only thing it will tell you is that the OS will load and operate an external mouse.
Now if your trackpad starts working all the sudden, I'd be impressed. But chances are the external mouse is going to work and your trackpad isn't... cause ther's something loose in the box.
