Move Beige G3 SCSI card and drive to BW G3?

Is this possible? (I'm a newbie here, and this site looks like it has awesome folks here.)

Long story short - Beige Minitower died and I need data off the scsi drive. I've purchases a 'new' BW G3 from goodwill - the sticker on the back says 9gb Ultra2 scsi, but no scsi drive inside. Only an ATA 40g drive w/ os9.2.2 on it.

The question is, can I take the scsi pci card out of the minitower and the harddrive and put them in to the BW G3?

I'm a pc guy and normally don't fiddle with the mac. So if anyone can point me to information that could help here, I'd appreciate it. (Or post instructions - that would be great, too.

There is no need to start a new thread that continues your earlier active thread on the same subject.

Since you have both machines, it is a simple matter to swap-out the card. The B&W G3 is even easier to open than the beige G3.

Ok. I went ahead and made the switch. Plugged everything in and mounted the scsi drive in the bottom. Booted up and VOILA! - the drive mounted and I was able to copy all folders to an external usb drive.
