Moving iTunes library - now only "!!!´s"

I copied my iTunes library to a new harddisc, and exported all my playlists and everything is fine IF I don´t switch of the old HD!
IF I switch of the old disc, I only get the annoying "!" marks, and the message that iTunes can´t find my tracks, and if I want to locate them myself....
I pointed iTunes to the new HD in the prefs menu, and it works perfect as long as I don´t switch off the old HD.
I hold down the ALT button when I start iTunes, and choose the new HD, and everything is OK - as long as I don´t switch of the old disc
What do I do wrong?

I hate to say this but whenever you move a song file, iTunes gets lost. So you literally have to click the song . . . then have it open the new location on your new HD. It reads like iTunes is linked to your older HD.
