It is not only in Canada where the RIAA-kind of fellows want to treat EVERYONE who buys new hard drives, mp3 players, any recordable media (cds, dvds etc) as pirates - and with no chance of proving un-guilty. IMHO with their logic - they should add taxes to personal stereos and vcr players. If you buy a radio, you may as well copy music from there (even if jsut for your personal use), and the vcrs are normally bought by people so that they can copy movies from the tv to be viewed later.
