MS Office: Set the default view size of documents?

Whenever I open a document in MS Office, it is viewed at 75% which is too small to read. I've searched the preferences but cannot find a way to make Office open documents up at say 125%.

Anyone know of a way to do this?

Once you set a magnification and exit the program normally, it should stick themaco. I'm surprised it doesn't.

I. . . think. . . possibly this is stored in the "normal.dot" document template somehow.

What you say makes sense, it should save those settings upon exit. However, it doesn't. I searched my computer for "normal.dot" and it didn't return any results, any other ideas for me? Thanks!
