MS World: one name, two different files.

Guys, I do not understand what is going on with my MS Word. Two months ago I updated my resume, then I decided to redo some stuff about two days ago. When I opened a file from File->Open, it gave me the most recent version of the file. However, when I opened the very same file from the list of the recent files on the bottom of the "File" menu, it opened a previous version of the file, not the most recent. It dated back to a date in June when I tried to edit the resume for the first time. I have tried to experiement with this bug for a while, I opened a file from the "Open File" dialog and by clicking on the file from the home directory. Then I made some changes, saved the file and opened it from "File->Recent Files" menu. In the latter case, I received a previous copy of the file, not the one that I edited for the last time. What is wrong here? Does anybody have any clue?

You probably have corrupt preferences. I suggest trashing Microsoft Office and re-installing it. This has fixed up all my Office woes many a times.

Many times, huh? That should say something about Office... but you knew that already. ;)

Before you reinstall Office, go through your Preferences folder (Users > username > Library > Preferences[/colors]) and delete anything with the words "microsoft," "office," "word," or anything else suspicious-looking. If this doesn't fix it, go ahead and reinstall.
