Before the switch to OSX we ran our internal file server and our web site on a G3/233 running Appleshare. We have since upgradded our internal file server to OSX server, but ran into a few hitches and I need some help. We used to be able to access our files remotely by typing our external IP address and logging into the server. ( we can still do this, but we don't use the files on the appleshare machine anymore except the website.) I can access the server just fine, but I want to leave the website runnign the way it is on the old server, but have the new server accessable from a remote location. ( OK I want to work from home! ) I was going to migrate the website to the new serverchange the IP adresses so the new ( OSX) server is recognized and be happy, but the old server has a web schedule that runs on Filemaker that i didn't create and have been unable to get it to work on the OSX server. Someone told me I just need to set up ports to recognize the new server, but I have no Idea where to start. Can the new server be accessed remotely?
