Hello, I used to have a DSL modem where I log in to go on the internet, now (since two days) I have the same modem that is always on through a gateway/router that keeps the connection active. In other words as soon as I turn my Mac on it's on the internet, without me having to connect to the ethernet.
Unfortunately this also resulted in my Mac not waking up from sleep anymore.
At night I used to simply close the screen lid and let the PB sleep while I go to sleep and in the morning I used to simply open the lid and enter my password to avoid the longer boot-up. This seems not to work anymore with the ethernet cable plugged in.
What happens when I open the lid is: I head the hard drive that starts spinning but I don't get anything on the screen and the white apple on the back doesn't light up either. There is nothing I seem to be able to do, except holding down the power button and re-starting the machine.
I would greatly appreciate a fix for this.
Thanks
PS I am on 10.3.6
