My friend's macbook pro acting funny after deleting windows partion

My friend partioned his Macbook Pro (he has leopard on it aswell) and it was working fine, but realized a lot of the programs he wanted was also for OSX so he got rid of the partion. However every time he starts his Mac he has to hold down the Option key to select Leopard (although its the only OS on his system) and if he doesn't the computer won't load up. Is there anything he can do to make his Macbook Pro boot up like brand new before he installed windows xp? Thanks.

PS to those who responded to my thread about making a take-out menu, it came out great, I used photoshop, thanks a bunch.

Go to the Apple Menu at the top right of the screen, on the drop down menu that appears, select "System Preferences". On the third row in System Preferences, on the right side there is a button that is named "Startup Disk" click it. In the window that it goes to, select the drive that is labeled "Mac OS X, 10.5 on (the name of your hard drive). Then exit out of System Preference, by either clicking the red dot at the top left corner of the window or doing Command+Q.
