My iBook G3 doesn't like my pword..

I have an iBook G3 that I've had for years (love the thing) and after an accidental downgrade to OS 10.1 and wipe by a stupid company, it's been running fine. Recently I switched my admin user name and password as a joke for some friends of mine, then when I went to check my password, it doesn't work anymore. I've done a password change before without any problem, so I don't know what it is this time. I've looked around and nothing's worked so far. Can any of y'all help? ::love::

First off, please lay off the pink text. It's cute, but really reeeeally hard to read. Second, the only way to reset your password is by booting from a system disk, and selecting "Change password" from the Utilities menu.

Yeah.. I don't think you can use any other characters other than a-z, 0-9, without it causing problems. And yeah, I think I'll have to get my contact prescription doubled after reading that small, pink text. Luckily, apple + makes the text bigger..

Hollo and thanks! My password is all text so eh.. I somehow managed to loose my disc, and Apple sent me the wrong one.. I had heard of other ways but they weren't doing anything.. but thanks again for your time! And the text color said it was plum.. I assumed a nice purple instead of a pinky lavender.. eh-heh? Sorry 'bout that..

If a friend has a generic system disk, that'll work. If you bring it to an apple store, they might even do it if you can prove that you didn't steal it.
