My macbook wont recognize my videocamera

I have a canon videocamera that i've connected to my macbook once before. The problem now is that when I hook it up through a USB cable, the macbook doesn't know the camera is hooked up. The camera is acnowledging that its hooked up... but the mac isn't. I'm not really sure what to do here...?

Is it possible to connect via firewire/iLink? Your results will defiantly be better.

I assume that you mean the Canon ZR200. The port labeled "DV" is FireWire. I suggest that you use it rather than USB.

You'll probably need a 6 to 4 pin Firewire 400 cable. If you bring your camcorder to the store, they can verify why cable you'll need.
