Native Command Queuing (NCQ) availability

Does anyone know when or if Apple will include motherboards capable of utilitizing hard drive NCQ? I am considering a switch to Mac but some of the extreme hard drive usage I place on my system from regular and massive database backups and restorations has already ruined two hard drives.

I think you could expect this feature coming in the next PowerMac G5 revision.
This should be this summer ;-)

By summer it could be that we turn on:
dualcore G5's (could be renamed as G6 by apple)
top at 3 Ghz
SATA 2 (incl ncq)
1.5 Ghz FSB
some higher clocked DDR RAM (now is 400) or DDR2 800
some case redesign

that's about it.

i don't know about the "native" part.. but i know that the Apple Drive modules (used in Xserve and Xserve RAIDs) support command queueing as well as OS-level "hinting".
