Do you suffer:
* iTunes trailing hundreds of itunes temp files;
* Explorer forgeting history and favourites changes;
* Excel "failed to rename file" on save errors.
If you do the simple answer for me was to disable NAV by going into the System library and removing the NAV support startup items.
Note that disabling auto protect in NAV preferences does not (well in my case anyway) stop the NAV process launching, it merely stops it telling you that it has encountered problems, but it seems to continue to cause the aforementioned problems.
Symantec - this ****s big time. Your X offerings are a joke and a rip off at half the price. Will we ever get a complete Nortons for X that does not require a boot under 9? Like disk defrag? Oh yeah and perhaps give users a proper way of reporting bugs rather than the web site from hell you have now!
