What are some of your favorite artists/tunes to go to sleep to? Usually I listen to Beck's CD entitled "Sea Changes" or Coldplay's "B-Sides" but those aren't as soft as I want, and they're a little to active.

So? What do you like to sleep to?
 
I can't fall asleep to music. I start air drumming and nodding my head, but if I had to suggest some music I'd have to say some of the softer Gorillaz, Moby, The Nirvana unplugged album, The White Stripes, Björk, The Dandy Warhols.

I'm just naming artists that I know have softer songs that I like.
 
I like "Summertime" and "Autumn Leaves" by Miles Davis, or "Nice Dream" by Radiohead, or Coldplay songs like "Careful Where You Stand" and "For You"

any of those do the trick for me
 
Tangerine Dream, Dead can Dance, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, David Sylvian, Robert Fripp, Robert Wyatt.

But also Frydryk Chopin, Mo'Horizons, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd or King Crimson.

Favorite last song, along with last cigarette, looking outside, window opened, at night (usu. late): Prelude of the Gulls, King Crimson (album: Islands). Unbelievably beautiful.

Unfortunately they copy-protect all their CDs
Fortunately these copy-protections are crap and don't work...
 
You could try whacking yourself in the head with a hammer, or running into a wall, until you pass out... :D
