Need help with Sprint PCS Aircard and Mac OS X

I recently purchased a Sierra Wireless Aircard 550, which supports both 3G and voice. Unfortunately, Sprint doesn't offer tech support for 3G and Mac. So I'm own my own to figure out how to make it work. This can't be impossible!

1. The account is a PCS Vision account
2. Config using TCP/IP using PPP
3. Account UN/PW, dial up number is #777
3. using PCS Vison modem script

_G4 Ti 800
_OS X 10.2.6
_Sierra Aircard 550
_Sprint PCS Vision data plan
_-aircard was activated on a PC (Dell Latitude) and worked.

When I create a New Port Configuration, I only have the following to choose from; Interna Modem, Built-in-Ethernet and Airport. I leave Internal Modem checked and disable the others. From there I configure the modem with PCS Vision modem script and set ppp un/pw. Set the dialer to #777 and click connect.

On a good note: OSX does detect the Aircard 550 and the PCS Vision modem script has been installed.

This is the only thing I can think of thatcould be my problem. When I try and create a new port, I'm not given a choice of port for the sprint aricard. I just select internal modem and configure form there.

1. What exactly is the correct way to configure these cards?

2. Will I have to switch my account to voice and connect using SPrint PCS Phone modem script until 3G is viable on the Mac?

Thanks in advance.

I will defintely post the solution if I can find one. I thin I ned to figure out a way for the Network Config panel to detect the CDMA port.

Does anyone know how to create a port if it doesn't through auto detect?

Keep in mind the card is recognized by the system (a new menu is created on the upper right, next to dialer menu) and it knows the card is a Aircard 550. It even the menu, however it doesn't offer much in the way of options.
