Need system software for iBook M6411

I need the software to get beyond a question mark on my graphite iBook. My daughter returned it to me but without the Apple software. Any suggestions?
 
To restore the softtware to get that iBook to factory state, you will need to have the install discs that came with that computer - so make her find those discs for you.

You could also install a newer, retail version of Mac OS X on it - again, you will need to have the install discs.
 
About the "newer, retail version of Mac OS X": Of course your iBook needs to meet the requirements for said retail version. The maximum supported OS is 10.3.9, so Tiger (10.4) and Leopard (10.5) disks won't do. You'd need the original Panther (10.3) installation disks.
