Need to find software...

I am looking for HTML software that someone with no experience in web design to make a site with... I would like something cheap or free, but I also want to make a nice website... Anything out there?

For free, I'd recommend Mozilla Composer/Netscape Composer. Simple, but effective and easy to work with.

How professional it looks doesn't depend on the program, but you. I think Dreamweaver and GoLive both have free trials, try those...

as symphonix mentioned, composer is a great place to start. if you take the time to study the source code after creating a page, you will start to learn some basic html and get a feel for how it works. then you can pretty easily move on to one of the more complex editors.

i had my first web site up and running in less than a day using composer.

I suggest if you are interested in making sites to learn to use html. So writing the pages in pure html, with text editors (e.g. Hydra is nice and free). :)

I second that: learn the basics by looking at the code of sites you like. Then improve step by step. Feel free to ask questions. Many others have asked feedback on their sites and got good advice and help.

Good luck!
