hey mac kids,
i'm currently setting up an 18-machine multimedia lab running OS X, and two machines will be dedicated as servers with 10-client licenses. however, as the machines will be available to the general student body, creating a login for every user isn't viable.
what i need is a single user for general use of the machines, and force the users to save their files locally.
is there any way to make NetInfo use a parent domain for user authentication, but use the localhost for storage and preferences?
my attempts thus far have just resulted in the logins reporting that the home directory cant be mounted, and now i cant get them back
