When I try to start NetInfo Manager it bounces a couple times and then disappears. The NetInfo Manager.crash.log then gets this entry:

Does anybody have any idea what this might mean or what I might be able to do to fix it? I tried deleting the netinfo plist but it didn't seem to help.
Thanks.

Hmm, something's certainly amiss on your system. Try running Disk Utility and do Fix Permissions and see if it helps.
