Network connection problem

Hi everyone - I'm new here and I thought you guys would be able to help with this problem.

We have a network in the office - with 6 computers running v9 with ethernet cables and router setup and everything was working fine until one system was upgraded to v10.8.

The computer that has v10.2.8 is a G4 1ghz, 256mb etc..

The problem is this G4 loses network connection many times through out the day [everyday]..

Is this a software problem, or hardware problem? The rest of the network is working fine.

Is there a known problem with v10.2.8 and networking? with v9?

There were some problems with 10.2.8 and G4 networking. That should be fixed in a second 10.2.8 update Apple released after pulling the initial one. Did you install that one?

You should check the ethernet cable as well. There could be one loose lead causing your trouble.
