Networking Win7 and OSX Server - Help

Hello board members,

I am trying to network my Win7 desktop to a small network consisting of 3 Mac workstations and a Minimac that serves as the server and has a Network storage device, basically I cannot get my PC to see the network, here are the details to my issue.

I am the only win PC on a OSX network 10.6 server, in OSX, I have SMB service turned on, I do not see windows sharing in the file sharing area of the server admin app on the Mac serve( minimac). Which is weird why would that be missing? I have a user account and PW set up with share permissions turned on on both the mac server and the win7 pc. I can see my win7 pc from the Mac workstations but not the server, I even have a shard folder on the Win7pc that I can drop files into from the mac workstations, when I am copying files over to the Win7pc, i can goto network and sharing center in the Ctrl panel cannot click on it - nothing happens when i do. I can ping from either the PC or the mac workstations and server and all packets come back, no loss. On the win7 box I have, the same Workgroup name as on the Mac, I have changed the local security policy to the 2 common mods needed for macs and Win7 machines to talk to each other ( details below), the firewall is off on all computers, the Homegroup feature on Win7is off, file and print, and password sharing is enabled on the Win7 box. From the mac I have to put in a user name and pw to connect to the share on the win7 machine. I have been working on this issue for a week on and off, it is driving me crazy. Any help would be great.

Local SEC Policy I changed were

In NETWORK SECURITY Change the setting from "Send NTMLv2 response only" to "Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session if negotiated"
Network Security: Minimum session security for NTLM SSP Based (including secure RPC) Clients
Change the setting from "require 128 bit" to unchecked (No Minimum)

thanks for any help

Mike
