New 700Mhz iBook!

It only has 16 megs of VRAM?!?!

I guess there will be one more update to the iBook before 10.2 comes out...

*sigh* Yet another thread on the new iBooks?

BlingBling, did you not notice the other two threads named "New iBook" and "new iBooks"?

...The Amount of new threads created here, daily, it makes no odds really!

Nice to hear about the iBook! (For no reason of Course Bling Bling!)

Neyo

Sorry simX... i was not aware of those two threads... they were most likely cut off due to my forum viewing prefs...

neyo... sounds like a great time for a new ibook eh? :)

My sister will get a 700 MHz iBook (the 12" option, of course). What I don't really understand is that the 14" machine is considered 'high end' at Apple. The smaller version makes much more sense to me, as the only thing that is *really* better on the bigger version is the better battery life, which is already good in the smaller version.

Of *course* the iBook becomes more similar feature wise to the TiBook. Time goes on. My hope was that the TiBook would already have hit the 1 GHz G4 at this time and the iBook would make use of the 1 GHz Sahara G3... Whenever you buy a computer, faster ones will appear sooner or later. And from my perspective (and Apple's, I'm sure) sooner would often be better. This would be good against the competition. Right now too many new users opt to buy a used machine, as they are still quite good compared to the new ones - and cheaper, of course.
