New TiBook???

Apple seeder
Hello guys.. this is not really a rumors thread...but.. i am looking for some rumor on the next TiBook release...
I just sold my iBook ....for a very good deal...now i want to buy a TiBook... but i have heard a new version is supposed to come out....what should i do ??? how far are we from that update???
Thank you in advance...

Which for me, being in the market for a Ti Powerbook, begs this question:

What happens to old Ti books? What happens to all that unsold inventory of obsolete Ti books? Where can I go to get them at reduced prices?

You just gotta be fast. Usually, there aren't too many still in the chain when Apple releases new ones. But yes, you should be able to get rebates after the new ones are announced and before they become available. But why not buy the new entry level model instead of the old high end one? The old ones haven't got IrDA or Bluetooth, the new ones should have BT inside.

I'd love to have a Powerbook (especially one with these stats), but it's just simply out of my price range. I'm settling with an iBook with AirPort -- when I can get the money. :(

Usually Apple distributors get stuck with the unsold inventory and often offer it at a great price when new hardware is released.

For instance, I got a top of the line PowerBook 550 for $1700 from a Apple distributor the same week the 667 and 800MHz DVI models were released. A week before, that $1700 PowerBook 550 retailed for $2300 from Apple.

Yes, it was then an older model but the latest lowend was $2500, $800 more. I can certainly settle with not having the latest and greatest but still having one hell of a notebook for a lot less money.

So which distributor did you get your Powerbook from? Are they accessible via the web?. Thanks.

Don't expect them before Janruary since Apple just started their double your ram promotion. It goes until the end of the year so one may think that this is an attempt to get rid of extra inventory before new product introduction?
