Hey guys trying to set up a Samba Server on my Linux box(Redhat 9), want to do some share points and plug in a couple of pritners for the home network.
Anyway, I want to add SWAT to the /etc/services but unable to add the line Swat 901/tcp.
I su root, then cd /etc, pico services ... nothing happens. I apologize for such the newbie question but I'm not sure what do next. I'm currently root user but not sure how to open the services file to modify. Thanks ahead of time to all.
EDITED: I'm using vi instead of pico. I'm much more comfortable in pico but for some reason it's not running under bash, or tsch. *scratches head*
