How can one eject the CD in OS 9? I know F12 will do that in OS X but it doesn't do that in 9 for me. Normally I would just the eject button on the Mac keyboard, but the mac is connected to a KVM switch and I have not yet bought a USB -> PS/2 adapter.

Also, what is a good web site (other then here) for OS9 ``HOWTOs''?

Thanks,

Erric

Sorry, I should be more specific. Yes, if the CD is already in the drive, I could drg it to the trash. My question is how do I insert a CD when there is no button on the front panel? (I know it's obsecured but there)

If you are using Mac OS 9 and are on a beige machine (or even an older G4 machine) there's a little hole that's the size of a paper clip. Unfold a paperclip and carefully stick it in that whole to open the cd drive. The paper clip has to contact a little steel rail inside the computer and it's spring loaded so you will feel it working right, and the drive should pop open. If you hit air you haven't pushed the clip in straight enough.

(Disclaimer: I indemnify myself to any liability and am not encouraging you in any way to damage your computer at my expense). In other words, just be careful if you do this.

Cheers

Wasn't it in the Special menu in the Finder? I have a feeling it was in there, but I haven't used 9 for a while now.
