Newbie questions on using signatures.

I have a question on how to use the signature part when you post on this forum.

When I add a post in here other ppl get a horizontal line at that bottom that divides the text from your signature but mine seems to come directly after the text and not a line or two below. How can I fix this?

You should be able to see this right after this

Sorry about the questions...in my browser it looks like the line comes directly after the text...
