I screwed up big time...
At Poetry.com there is this contest in which the winner can be awarded a boat load of money and respect from poets around the world! Only problem is I really stink at writing poems, but around the same time that I found out about this contest my friend had shown me a ton of really great poems that I, personally, thought were the best i ever heard.
So I asked for his permission and decided I would submit one of his poems under my name to see if we could win some money. Easy right?
Wrong. Instead of winning the money the people over at poetry.com want me to represent my friends poem under my name, they want the poem to go into an upcoming poetry book under my name, and want it to go on a CD/Tape full of poems under my name! Out of millions of entries my friends got choosen! That's a good thing, right? WRONG! Because the people think it's under my name and want to publish it under my name!
I don't want my friends children to grow up listening to a CD with their fathers work on it under my name! I tried contacting the people at poetry.com but so far my e-mails arn't working I guess!
What should I do? Should I go ahead and publish the work of another under my name? Or should I try to mail the poetry people...and If I do mail them what should I say?!
HELP!
