I am having trouble changing certain java settings on a user's machine. When I go to Applications > Utilities > Java Settings I do not have the option to allow java applets to run in their own process like you normally would have the ability to.
What are you talking about? Java applets and Java-based applications run within the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). Nothing is missing from your settings. It might be helpful if you explained what exactly you are trying to accomplish.
