I have installed macosx on my 7600 g3(sonnet)
480mb mac, and for some reason when the system was
installed, it didn't pull the monitor resolution to
the new system and it went into the default mode which is the largest, so when the setup assistant
starts the picture is off my 17" monitor, the resolution is maxed. I was able to go into the system from my 9.1 system, where I went into macosx
folder removed the setup assistant app. and set it on the desktop and rebooted and then the setup frame came up but from there I could get into the
preferences and open the display preference where it shows the resolution on the highest setting and
that is all the choices that are there. I am completly stuck. I did go into my old system and
removed and installed the old colorsync and replaced with a clean installation but when I start
the macosx installer it gives me a message in the log that there is a error with colorsync and the monitor will be set to default. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks DM
