I am having some big problems with my GeForce3 Ti 500 under Linux. It works just fine (near as I can figure, I don't do anything other than play games) in XP. I think it's a configuration/kernel problem. No one has been able to help me figure it out. (in brief the monitor flashes and eventually will die... I'm on my 2nd monitor with the same problem) I didn't have this problem with an old Rage 128 Pro card I had previously.
I was thinking that I could drop the GeForce into my G4 450, and buy a Radeon for the Linux box and hope that since kernel support is available rather than the nvidia drivers form the company it would work OK, and still be good for game playing in the XP side.
Thus, the question: Can a GeForce3 Ti 500 work with OSX? I know that GeForce cards are options on newer Macs. If I drop this thing in will it work, or are there drivers or something to fetch?
