old HP printer, new e-mac & airport?

I'm wondering if it's possible for my new e-mac to detect my old HP printer 5mp through an ethernet connection through my airport extreme base station? If not, is there any other way to connect it, or am I forced to get a new printer? :confused:
 
Short answer - it will probably work.
Does this have both parallel and localtalk connectors? How are you connecting it to ethernet? The ethernet to localtalk adapters are sometimes unreliable (especially Asante). Print server to parallel is the better setup.
