iMac Dual 2.0 17'
My dad uses my old imac with the latest Mac OSX. Occasionally it freezes up, totally. The reset button on the side does not even work. You have to turn the whole system off. Upon reboot a strange sound comes from the speakers, the screen remains black and the on button flashes yellow. I suspect a hardware problem. The computer freezes so harshly that it does not even create a crash log.
I install a M$ intelli-mouse. Then unistalled it. Until I hooked up that mouse the system never crashed. is it related, not sure?
Any suggestions?
