I didn't know where to put this, but this forum seems as good as any.

I have a group of old Persuasion presentations that I would like to update and use, either in keynote or in powerpoint. I have lost my original Persuasion application CD and the program died with a hard disk crash some years ago. Does anyone have an idea of how to open the files in any format to be able to cut and paste the images into a usable form?

I have keynote and powerpoint available to me, as well as graphic convertor and the normal DTP programs, but have not been able to get the old files open.

Did you try opening it in AppleWorks?

How large is one of the files? I could try using MacLinkPlus on a small one.

Also, just remembered a program called can opener, you might want to try that. It will open pretty much any file some way or another.

Persuasion is (was) an Adobe offering from 95-96 that just died on the vine. Too bad, it was a very nice piece of work.

Anyway, I found a copy at an service bureau here in Cairo. Seems he had taken it from me some years back.

Now the problem is other, the PowerPoint convertor that comes with the program asks for OLE 2.0. I have a newer version of Office and the OLE library is 2.3.

Any suggestions on where to find an older OLE? I don't mind trashing the office installation since I never use OS9

If you have a problem finding it, let me know. I'll search my older machines for a copy.
