This scanner was able to scan 3D objects as if they were photographed professionally, if you put a colored cloth behind the object. Great depth of field. Used to have one, I just bought several of them, I have a beige G3, but I have no software/driver. Where to go?
 
UMAX has not always been known for providing decent support for Mac users, unfortunately. I think your best chance is to try VueScan. I've also heard of SilverFast, but had problems viewing the page (server went down?).

With any luck, one of these should work for you.
