Great news... Wonder what that number might be if we had an INTERNATIONAL iTunes Music Store anytime soon... I know that _I_ would get an account immediately. This would _definitely_ drive me even poorer, but if even _browsing_ the iTMS is fun (I do it from time to time), I wonder how much fun it is if you can actually _buy_ music... Hmm... Right now, it seems that Apple's only teasing me...
just out of curiosity... how the heck does the ITMS know what country you are in? I mean after all, your dealing with it over the internet...
Is it just your billing information thats a problem?
Not sure how it works exactly, but ITMS either bases where you are located by the domain of the ISP you are connecting to or by a traceroute on your IP. I'm overseas for a few months in the Philippines and as soon as I hooked up my iBook to download some music it popped up "The itunes music store is not available in your country yet" message. But if you have a US billing address it will let you threw so I was happy
I'm talking about the whole market. The more Windows users use iPod, they will realize the sleek and durability of a mac product and would be more and more interested in a mac cpu.
You can buy in Europe, but you have to trick it a "little" bit.
You need two accounts. Account 1 buys a gift and sends it to account 2 (no check of your location). Account 2 lies on its location when buy song based on the gift... no check of the payment location... so you get it !
