opera and mac os x

I just downloaded Opera 9.6.4 for mac os x (10.4.11). Every single page won't load. I have google set as the home page. It even won't load. To load pages I have to hit the reload button. What's wrong??

I think I would trash the Opera and download a new one and reinstall it. Just a thought--

tmbgeorge-you didn't accidentally download opera for windows?

You might like to open opera:about url and check if anything funny shows, like wrong binaries (PowerPC instead of Intel) etc.
