Hi,
I am having some issues connecting an iBook to the various networks that I use. I hope that you can provide information because I can't seem to find any other thread detailing what I need.
My concern comes from the automtic network configuration.
I have created individual locations but I set it on Automatic because I want it to find the connection to use. I have set up my network ports for each of the networks ( I have 2 different schools I am responsibie for plus my home internet connection ). Each school has at least one airport network which I use and also hard-wired ethernet connections.
The trouble comes when I let it choose automatically. It gives me various error messages including DNS lookup and server not found. When I uncheck all of the active ports except for the one I know it SHOULD be using, then things seem to work fine. But it seems to mess up the search.
I am wondering if I am doing something wrong? I hope you can help!
