OS X web server problem

I am running OS X 10.0.4 on a new G4. The web service stops working after about an hour or so. I've restarted both the server and the web service, and I have checked my web service configuration. Every thing looks fine. Nothing has helped, the service stops responding about an hour after each restart. Any ideas?
 
Does it work at all, or do you get the spinning rainbow cursor when you try to start up Apache?

Updating your system to 10.1.x should resolve it in any case.
